Take the time to put it right. Over 90% of road accidents can be attributed to driver error. Accidents and hazards don't just happen they are the results of unsafe and dangerous driving practices. Amongst these driver errors are weaknesses in driver attitude, over estimation of one's ability to handle the vehicle in certain situations and a reluctance to change. We always think that others need to change and improve, not ourselves.  We perceive ourselves as being safe and deceive ourselves as being capable drivers, that is until our errors get punished often with grave consequences.
A simple driving assessment will highlight weaknesses in driving ability and attitudes. A planned programme of refresher tuition can be developed according to individual driving needs. No one can guarantee an accident free zone; however even some basic driver development can greatly reduce the possibility of being involved in an accident.
